Imported 200 million tons of coal from January to July, up 6.8% year-on-year

In July, the decline in raw coal production of industrial enterprises above designated size expanded, crude oil production remained flat, and the growth rate of natural gas and electricity production slowed.

Raw coal, crude oil, and natural gas production and related conditions the decline in raw coal production expanded. In July, 320 million tons of raw coal was produced, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7% and the rate of decline expanded by 2.5 percentage points from the previous month; the average daily output was 10.26 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 880,000 tons. From January to July, 2.12 billion tons of raw coal was obtained, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%. Coal imports fell. In July, imported coal was 26.1 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 810,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.6%, and the rate of decline expanded by 14.0 percentage points from the previous month; from January to July, imported coal was 200 million tons, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year.

The comprehensive transaction price of port coal rose first and then fell. On July 31, the coal prices of 5,500, 5,000, and 4500 at Qinhuangdao Port were 555, 503, and 448 yuan per ton, respectively, which were 8, 9, and 9 yuan lower than the highest price in the year on July 10. Yuan, down 1, 3, and 2 yuan from July 3.
