Japan’s seamless steel pipe output drops in May on decreased car output & fewer operation days

According to statistics, Japan produced a total of around 13,000 tons of seamless steel pipes in May this year, dropping by 10.4% compared to the same month a year ago. The output in the first five months amounted to approximately 75,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.8%.

The output of seamless steel pipes hit the lowest this year due to a decrease in automobile production caused by a shortage of semiconductors and components, as well as fewer days of operation due to holidays.
