La carcassa és una canonada de gran diàmetre que serveix com a retenedor estructural per a les parets dels pous de petroli i gas, o forat del pou. S'insereix en un forat de pou i s'hi cimenta al seu lloc per protegir tant les formacions subsuperficials com el forat de l'esfondrament i permetre la circulació del fluid de perforació i l'extracció.Les canonades de carcassa d'acer tenen una paret llisa i una resistència de fluència mínima de 35.000 psi.

Well Caring serveix també a la paret lateral.Normes i condicions tècniques per al subministrament: API Spec 5CT ISO13680 Grau: J55, K55, N80-1, N80-Q, L80-1, L80-9Cr, L80-13Cr,C95, P110.Tipus de banda de rodament: NUE, EUE, VAM, STC, LTC, BTC, despatx especial, XC, VAM TOP, NOU VAM.

Tub de carcassa d'oli: les carcasses s'utilitzen per fixar la paret del pou o el forat, que tenen diàmetres amplis, es poden dividir en carcassa de conductor, carcassa tècnica i carcassa d'oli.

Usos: la carcassa del pou també serveix per a la paret lateral.
