Differences between standard specifications for spiral steel pipes and precision steel pipes

Spiral steel pipes are mainly used in water supply projects, the petrochemical industry, the chemical industry, the electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, and urban construction. Spiral steel pipes are among the 20 key products developed in my country. For liquid transportation: water supply and drainage. For gas transportation: coal gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. For structural purposes: piling pipes, bridges; pipes for docks, roads, building structures, etc. Spiral steel pipe is a spiral seam steel pipe welded by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding process using strip steel coil plate as raw material, constant temperature extrusion molding. The spiral steel pipe feeds the strip into the welded pipe unit. After being rolled by multiple rollers, the strip is gradually rolled up to form a circular tube blank with an opening gap. Adjust the reduction amount of the extrusion roller to control the weld gap between 1-3mm, and make both ends of the welding joint flush.

The difference between spiral steel pipe and precision steel pipe
Spiral steel pipes can be divided into two categories according to production methods: spiral and seamed. Seamed steel pipes are referred to as straight seam steel pipes. Spiral steel pipes can be divided into hot-rolled seamless pipes, cold-drawn pipes, precision steel pipes, thermally expanded pipes, cold-spinning pipes, and extruded pipes according to production methods. Spiral steel pipes are made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy steel and can be divided into hot-rolled and cold-rolled (drawn). The main feature of spiral steel pipe is that it has no welding seams and can withstand greater pressure.

Products can be very rough as cast or cold drawn parts. Welded steel pipes are divided into furnace welded pipes, electrically welded (resistance welded) pipes, and automatic arc welded pipes due to their different welding processes. Due to their different welding methods, they are divided into straight seam welded pipes and spiral welded pipes. They are also divided into round welded pipes due to their end shapes and shaped welded pipes and special-shaped (square, flat, etc.) welded pipes.

Welded steel pipes are made of steel plates rolled into tubular shapes and welded with butt seams or spiral seams. In terms of manufacturing methods, they are divided into welded steel pipes for low-pressure fluid transportation, spiral seam electric welded steel pipes, direct coil welded steel pipes, electric welded pipes, etc. Spiral steel pipes can be used in liquid pneumatic pipelines and gas pipelines in various industries. Welding can be used for water pipes, gas pipes, heating pipes, electrical pipes, etc.

Precision steel pipes are products that have appeared in recent years. They mainly have strict tolerances and roughness on the inner hole and outer wall dimensions. Precision steel pipe is a high-precision steel pipe material that has been processed by cold drawing or hot rolling. Because there is no oxide layer on the inner and outer walls of fine steel pipes, no leakage under high pressure, high precision, high brightness, no deformation in cold bending, no cracks in flaring and flattening, etc., it is mainly used to produce products with pneumatic or hydraulic components, such as cylinders or Oil cylinder.
