Commonly used heat treatment methods for straight seam steel pipes in industrial projects

The layout and design of technical molds should be reasonable, with minimal thickness and symmetrical shape. For molds with large deformation, deformation rules should be followed, and machining allowances should be provided. For delicate and complex molds, preheating, aging, tempering, and nitriding treatments can be used to control mold precision. When repairing mold defects such as pinholes, pores, and wear, use cold welding machines or other repair equipment with low thermal shock to avoid deformation during the repair process.

To eliminate residual stresses from machining, delicate and complex molds should be preheated. For delicate and complex molds, if conditions permit, vacuum quenching should be attempted, followed by a low-temperature treatment after quenching. While ensuring mold hardness, precooling, staged cooling, or warm quenching processes should be attempted.

Select materials appropriately. For delicate and complex molds, select low-deformation mold steel with good raw materials. Mold steel with severe carbide segregation should undergo appropriate casting and tempering heat treatments. Many materials generated during the project were new and required study. Here are some key considerations when purchasing straight seam steel pipe.
1. If the pipe wall thickness is insufficient for gate-gating, the pipe end will appear thicker with a hammer shield, but measuring with an instrument will reveal its original shape.
2. Straight seam steel pipe is used for seamless steel pipe. The number of straight seam welds is less than one longitudinal weld. The entire pipe is polished using a machine commonly known as a polishing process, resulting in a seamless appearance.
3. A more complex method for seamless steel pipe is also available. This is also thermal expansion. After expansion, lead powder is present inside, and burn marks are visible on the outside. The weld seam is also invisible.
4. Girth welded straight seam steel pipe uses polishing to replace seamless and straight seam steel pipe.
