Industrial large-diameter plastic-coated spiral steel pipe production process details

Large-diameter plastic-coated spiral steel pipe is a steel pipe with a polymer coating sprayed on the surface of the steel pipe. It has the characteristics of anti-corrosion, wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and anti-aging. Its production process generally includes the following steps:

Steel pipe surface treatment: First, the surface of the steel pipe needs to be sandblasted, shot blasted, etc. to remove surface oxide scale, oil stains, rust, and other impurities to prepare for the next step of coating construction.

Primer spraying: Spray primer on the surface of the steel pipe, generally using epoxy primer or polyurethane primer. The function of the primer is to protect the surface of steel pipes and improve coating adhesion.

Powder coating spraying: Add the powder coating to the spray gun, and spray the coating on the surface of the steel pipe through processes such as electrostatic adsorption, drying, and solidification. There are many types of powder coatings, such as epoxy, polyester, polyurethane, baking paint, etc. You can choose the appropriate coating according to different requirements.

Curing and baking: Put the coated steel pipe into the baking room for curing and baking, so that the coating is solidified and tightly combined with the surface of the steel pipe.

Cooling quality inspection: After baking is completed, the steel pipe is cooled and quality inspected. Quality inspection includes coating appearance inspection, thickness measurement, adhesion test, etc. to ensure that the product meets relevant standards and requirements.

The above is the general production process flow of large-diameter plastic-coated spiral steel pipe. Different manufacturers may make certain improvements and innovations based on their circumstances and technical levels, but the basic production steps are roughly the same.
