Temperature problems in the production of straight seam steel pipes

In the process of producing straight seam steel pipes, the temperature must be strictly controlled, so as to ensure the reliability of welding. If the temperature is too low, it may cause that the welding position cannot reach the temperature required for welding. In the case where most of the metal structure is still solid, the metals at both ends are difficult to penetrate and combine together. When the temperature is too high, there are many metals in the molten state at the welding position. The texture of these parts is very soft, and some fluidity may bring about the situation of molten droplets. When such metal droplets fall behind, there is no enough metal to interpenetrate. And when welding, there will be some uneven welds to form a melt hole.

If the welding temperature of the straight seam steel pipe is not well controlled, it may have an adverse effect on deformation, stability, fatigue resistance, etc. The temperature control is divided into heating furnace and reheating furnace; the former is used to heat the blank from normal temperature to processing temperature; the latter is used to reheat the blank to the necessary processing temperature during processing. The improper heating of the straight seam steel pipe will become the reason for the occurrence of cracks, folds and migraine on the inner or outer surface of the tube blank.
