China’s rebar price down further, sales retreat
China’s national price for HRB 400 20mm dia rebar dipped for the fourth straight day, down another Yuan 10/tonne ($1.5/t) on day to Yuan 3,845/t including 13% VAT as of September 9.
On the same day, the country’s national sales volume of major long steel products comprising rebar, wire rod and bar-in-coil among 237 sampled traders fell below the healthy demand threshold of 200,000 tonnes/day, down 9.9% on day to 196,256 t/d.
