Seamless pipes: As of December 17th, the average price of 108*4.5mm seamless pipes in 27 major cities across the country was 5967 yuan/ton, a decrease of 37 yuan/ton from last week. This week, the national average price of seamless pipes fell mainly in Northeast China. The price of seamless pipes made up for the decline.
In terms of raw materials, billet prices across the country have been strong this week, and the overall trend has shown a steady increase. This week, the price of billet in Shandong has increased by 100-120 yuan/ton, and the price of billet in Jiangsu has risen by 100 yuan/ton.
On the market side: the black futures market has been volatile this week. At the same time, steel fundamentals have slightly improved, as well as environmental protection and production restrictions in some regions. Steel spot prices have shown a volatile upward trend this week. However, the price of seamless pipes, with the exception of some northern cities, tended to fluctuate and stabilize, and the Northeast region continued to make up for the decline due to insufficient demand. The overall transaction has improved slightly this week but remained at a low level. The transaction of seamless pipes across the country has been stable, and the market mentality has improved slightly. Traders across the country have successively performed a small amount of replenishment operations.
