How to improve the service life of seamless pipes?
The materials produced by seamless pipes are different, and the elements are naturally different. Generally speaking, our seamless steel pipes are not easy to rust. But it doesn’t mean that the seamless steel pipe is not easy to rust, we usually don’t care about it, because if the seamless steel pipe is not usually maintained, its service life will be shortened, and it will also bring inconvenience to our seamless pipe factory and customers necessary loss. Since everyone buys seamless steel pipes, they must hope that the service life can be longer, so everyone should pay attention to the maintenance of seamless steel pipes.
In order to increase the service life of the seamless pipe in the process, the seamless steel pipe must first be pickled to remove the surface scale, and then lubricated, so that the steel pipe is pickled and passivated to form a protective film on the surface. Then, after pickling, electrolysis can be used to replenish the seamless steel pipe to further protect it.
The quality requirements for seamless steel pipe blanks are closely related to the piercing process. There are unfavorable stress states and serious uneven deformation when piercing and rolling capillary tubes on a two-roll piercer. Therefore, the local defects existing on the blank are enlarged by perforation, causing defects on the inner and outer surfaces of the capillary. Especially in some weak places in old metals – where non-metallic inclusions gather and metal density is poor, it is easy to cause damage to the metal through perforation deformation. Therefore, choosing a reasonable perforation method and changing the unfavorable stress state can prevent defects and reduce the requirements for seamless steel pipe blanks. The main thing about the seamless steel pipe is to put the pipe directly into the pipe fittings by pressing. The key two ends are the protruding U-shaped grooves. In addition, it can be put into the socket for quick connection. The three-roll piercing machine, guide plate piercing machine, and fungus piercing machine that have appeared in recent years are three better cross-rolling piercing methods. Push piercing (P.P.M) is a good way to directly pierce a billet. Using these piercing methods, especially the bacteria-type piercing machine, not only can piercing and rolling continuous casting slabs, but also high-alloy steel can be pierced and rolled.
As for the two-roller piercer with guide plate, the improvement of the piercing process can also be used to prevent defects, thereby reducing the quality requirements for seamless steel pipe blanks.
