Japan’s Q3 crude steel production expected to fall to 11-year low

Japan’s crude steel production in the third quarter was expected to fall by 27.9% year on year. The finished steel exports will fall by 28.6% year on year, and domestic demand for finished steel products in the third quarter will fall by 22.1% year on year.
These figures will be at the lowest level in 11 years. In addition, it was expected that the demand for ordinary steel in the construction industry in the third quarter of this year will be 13.5% lower than the same period last year.
