In terms of inventory: this week’s total steel inventory was 15.083,700 tons, a week-on-week decrease of 878,500 tons. Among them, the stock of steel mills was 512,400 tons, which was a decrease of 489,500 tons on a week-on-week basis; the social stock of steel was 9,962,300 tons, which was a decrease of 389,900 tons on a week-on-week basis.
At present, the steel mills have little effort to resume production, and there is still resistance to the rebound of raw material and fuel prices. The off-season effect of the plate market appears, showing a weak situation of supply and demand. The supply and demand of the building materials market has picked up, and there is a phenomenon of rushing work at the southern downstream construction sites, but the demand is not stable, and the north material will face downward pressure in the later period. In the short term, there is still support for steel prices, but demand is expected to weaken in the off-season, and merchants are willing to reduce winter storage costs. Steel prices are also subject to obstacles, and steel prices may fluctuate in a range.
