In this material carbon, nitrogen and rare earth and alkali metal oxide dispersions mix together to provide very good creep strength. SS 253 MA steel is the material that is designed to make it useful at the temperature that is greater than 550 deg C. Therefore the 253MA Sheets & Plates are said to be ideal for use in the temperature ranges of 850-1100 deg C. The common applications where 253MA Sheets & Plates are found are stack dampers, furnaces, refinery tube hangers, burners, furnace components, boiler nozzles.
